Who am I? What's my background?
If you don't know me already, I'm Tom, from The French Property Guide YouTube channel. At the age of seven, my family moved to the beautiful countryside of Normandy, France from our native Essex, England, to give us a better life. I learned French at school, and I became fluent by the age of ten (I even got the best results in the French section of my high school exit exams). I went to university in Northern France where I studied economics. I have since gone on to work in real estate and in insurance, specializing in helping English speakers with their insurance needs in France. I have since set up my YouTube channel - The French Property Guide - inspired by father's success on YouTube (Sean's World) to share what I learned firsthand to English speaking buyers and to anyone interested in French Property.
Why did I start this business?
I started the business with the goal to help people who want to make their dream move to France. Throughout my experiences in the work place, I noticed the need for a service such as this to make the process more straightforward and less stressful for expats. I have developed the necessary skills, such as mastering the French language and knowing the system, whilst also understanding the needs of English speakers in France, all while delivering a personalised and quality service to my customers. My property hunting service offers you a sense of confidence and peace of mind, helping you feel secure that your dream home in France is within reach, and that your personnal property consultant - me - has your best interest at heart.
